Web Developer

Helsinki, Finland Full-time

Every company out there is promising meaningful projects, good benefits, and free drinks. We do, too – it’s difficult to stand out from the crowd. But what we think differentiates us from others is that we won’t send you to work off-site. You’ll get to work on new & exciting projects with people who always push each other forward. We value a friendly atmosphere, really care about people and want to make sure everyone fits in. Take a peek at our Flickr feed for a little taste of #evermadelife.

Lately, we’ve been working on multiple WordPress site projects for exciting clients like Seriously, Slush, Sydänliitto and Helsingin Kaupunki. We’ve also done some interesting React web app projects for clients like M Room. Others are in the works, but we can’t talk about them just yet. You know how it is!

You will be involved from the first idea to launch. During the journey, you get to help pick the right tools and technologies, meet clients, work with designers, brainstorm with your fellow developers, write beautiful code and make sure the end result is high quality. We value a relentless appetite for solving problems and making the web a better place. We work with WordPress, React, JavaScript, PHP, SCSS, Webpack, and Docker to name a few. Mastering all of these is not imperative, but you need to have a strong desire to learn.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience of web development (at least 3+ years of experience). Sending us some samples of your previous work is a great way to get us excited!
  • Frontend expertise
  • Excellent WordPress skills
  • Expertise in JavaScript and React
  • Basic Linux and Docker knowledge
  • Hands-on experience in using development tools like yarn/npm, Webpack and Git
  • A team player also capable of taking their own initiative and being proactive

What we offer:

  • An awesome office located in the heart of Helsinki
  • 12 days per year to spend on learning about what interests you - whether you want to contribute to the developer community or attend an event
  • Full-time job with flexible working hours - working remotely occasionally is okay
  • Highly driven and fun coworkers in an open and easy-going environment
  • Extensive health care, sports & culture benefits, leisure-time insurance
  • No corporate bureaucracy

Feel like we’d be a good match? Send us your application! The position will be filled as soon as we find the right fit.
